NRF 2022: SML to Showcase Item-Level RFID Solutions as Retailers Realize the Future of Retail Operations and Inventory Management is NOW

SML RFID is partnering with leading fashion-industry trade publication Women’s Wear Daily to deliver a webinar that will guide retailers on how item-level RFID technology can transform their operations.

  • Date: 16th – 18th January 2022
  • Venue: Javits Center, New York, New York
  • Booth: #5053

SML RFID is thrilled to announce its return to New York for the annual NRF retail show, and as part of the NRF selected Expo Tour program. Taking place Sunday 16th – Tuesday 18th January 2022, SML will be joining over 800 exhibitors and over 100 speaker sessions led by some of the leading figures and authorities within the retail space.

Having worked with some of the largest retailers in the world to implement global RFID rollouts, SML RFID works in partnership with its customers to understand their unique pain points. There are currently more than 5,000 stores utilizing its enterprise-grade Clarity® solution to enhance daily operations and effectively track their inventory across their estates.

Connecting a broad spectrum of cost-effective, high-performance certified RFID tags with a global network of encoding solutions to retail stores, SML RFID’s Clarity® software has provided over $1 billion in cost savings and over $1 billion in profit to retailers.

As the retail industry continues to return to normality, retailers have had to adjust the ways in which they serve their customers. Many have had to rely heavily on their omnichannel offerings and utilize RFID technology to deliver on the promise of buy online pickup in-store (BOPIS) or buy online return in-store (BORIS). Previously these sales channels were used to provide customers with a safe shopping experience during the pandemic. However, as the focus shifts back to convenience and customer-centric experiences, we can anticipate both models to remain a staple for all modern retailers.

SML will also be able to educate visitors on how technology can unleash a new era of retail. Defined as the third wave of digital transformation in retail, item-level RFID can enable retailers to unlock trillions in additional revenue via new business models, customer services, big data, and sustainable and circular models for commerce.
