SML RFID Shortlisted For Retail Systems Awards 2020

The Retail Systems Awards is celebrating its 15th year, bringing together the industry’s best and brightest for the biggest evening in the retail technology calendar.

SML RFID has been shortlisted for the Retail Systems Awards due to our team’s work with our Clarity® solution at the Swedish sporting chain, Stadium. Stadium implemented RFID technology, starting in 2019, in order to improve its stock taking accuracy, and overall inventory process efficiency. Prior to implementing RFID technology, Stadium had to manually take stock of its products. A process that took over 200 hours per store each year. In addition, the retailer maintained an inventory accuracy of just 70%.

Since the introduction of RFID technology, the inventory accuracy in its fleet of stores has increased from 70% to 98% and the replenishment function from back stock to sales floor has reduced the out of stocks to nearly 0%. Stadium has seen a significant increase in sales, a result of the significant improvements brought about by the introduction of SML’s RFID technology.

The winners will be announced during a virtual awards ceremony on 19th October 2020.
