Responsibilities

1. Supplier Qualification & Approval

  • Support the development and maintenance of supplier qualification, onboarding, and approval requirements.
  • Conduct supplier capability assessments and quality risk evaluations.
  • Support supplier selection processes in collaboration with Procurement, Product Development and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain and periodically review the Approved Supplier List (ASL).

2. Supplier Audit & Compliance Management

  • Support the development and implementation of supplier qualification and audit programs, including audit schedules, methodologies, and assessment criteria.
  • Conduct supplier qualification audits, periodic supplier audits, and supplier capability assessments.
  • Review supplier audit findings, non-conformities (NCs), and corrective action plans, and monitor closure effectiveness through Site QA and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support supplier compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.

3. Supplier Performance Management

  • Support the development and maintenance of supplier performance scorecards and evaluation criteria in collaboration with Procurement, Product & Technology (PnT), and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier quality KPIs, performance trends, and supply risks, and consolidate cross-functional inputs into supplier performance evaluations.
  • Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews with Procurement, PnT, and key stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and development priorities.
  • Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives and support supplier performance enhancement programs.

4. Supplier CAPA & Continuous Improvement

  • Support supplier CAPA governance and monitor corrective action status in collaboration with Site QA teams.
  • Review supplier root cause analyses and corrective action plans, and monitor CAPA closure status and effectiveness through Site QA follow-up activities.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving using RCA, 8D, CAPA, and other quality methodologies.
  • Escalate recurring, overdue, or ineffective corrective actions and support systemic supplier quality improvement initiatives.

5. Supplier Development & Quality Partnership

  • Support the development and implementation of supplier quality improvement and development plans for strategic and high-risk suppliers.
  • Coordinate supplier quality training, coaching, and awareness programs with Site QA and relevant stakeholders to strengthen supplier quality capabilities.
  • Promote preventive quality practices and continuous improvement throughout the supplier base.

6. Supplier Quality Governance & Reporting

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) framework.
  • Consolidate and analyze supplier quality performance, audit results, supplier ratings, quality risks, and improvement status.
  • Maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL), supplier grading methodologies, and supplier governance processes.
  • Prepare supplier quality dashboards, management reports, and management review materials.
  • Coordinate supplier quality governance reviews and support cross-functional supplier performance meetings.
  • Escalate significant supplier quality risks, recurring issues, and underperforming suppliers to management.

Regular travel within China and APAC for supplier audits and quality improvement activities is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Development, or related quality functions.
  • Experience in supplier qualification, supplier audits, supplier performance monitoring, and supplier quality improvement activities.
  • Experience working with outsourced manufacturers, raw material suppliers, or component suppliers in manufacturing or sourcing environments.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and supplier quality management principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Procurement, Product Development, Site QA, Operations, and suppliers.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • Willingness to travel within China and APAC.
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality management, supplier qualification, supplier auditing, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as RCA, 8D, CAPA, Pareto Analysis, and risk assessment techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills in evaluating supplier quality performance and identifying quality risks.
  • Good communication, stakeholder management, and supplier engagement skills.
  • Demonstrates high standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct, with the ability to maintain objectivity and independence when conducting supplier audits, evaluations, supplier approval activities, and quality-related decision-making.
  • Independent, proactive, and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
